----------------------------------------
When you ask someone to do something for you, you have to use the words "kureru" 「くれる」 and "morau" 「もらう」 in Japanese. We attach these words to the ~te form of a verb to make the meaning "Can you do this for me?"
"morau" expresses politeness, whereas "kureru" is more direct. "kureru" also has a nuance that you expect your request to be fulfilled.
1. For casual speaking You can use the potential form of the verbs 「もらう」 and 「くれる」 → 「もらえる」 「くれる」 (technically the potential form of くれる is くれられる)
2. To be more polite you can use the potential form plus "masu" plus "ka" → 「もらえますか」 「くれますか」
Examples:
例文:
スーパーで牛乳を買ってもらえる?
すーぱー で ぎゅにゅう を かって もらえる?
Can you buy some milk at the grocery store?
私の財布を取ってくれる?
わたし の さいふ を とって くれる?
Can you get my wallet?
私に日本語を教えてくれる?
わたし に にほんご を おしえて くれる?
Can you teach me Japanese?
明日,私に払ってもらえますか?
あした わたし に はらって もらえますか?
Can you please pay me tomorrow?
