Now that you've learned how to construct an is/are sentence it is simple to learn how to turn that statement into a question.

In lesson 14 we learned how to say "He is sick":
彼は病気です
To make this into the question "Is he sick?", we simple add "ka" to the end of this statement, as such:
彼は病気ですか?
かれ は びょうき です か?
More examples:
私は嬉しいです。
わたし は うれしい です
I am happy
Am I happy?
私は嬉しいですか?
彼女はぽっちゃりです
かのじょ は ぽっちゃり です
She is chubby
Is she chubby?
彼女はぽっちゃりですか?
今日は暑いです
きょう は あつい です
Today it is hot
(It is hot today)
Is it hot today?
今日は暑いですか?
